Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Greater Lansing Food Bank!

To ensure the continued health of our staff and volunteers, do not volunteer if you have COVID-like symptoms or recent COVID exposure. Masks are optional for all volunteers.

All new individual volunteers must complete a brief initial application to view available opportunities - you can do so by clicking on one of the opportunities below. Click this link to see a full description of our current volunteer opportunities.

This online sign-up system works best for individuals - to schedule a group of four or more volunteers, please email the Volunteer Program Manager at volunteers@glfoodbank.org. Please include the approximate number of people in your group, and any date/time preferences you have. Please note - many of our shifts book at least 2-3 weeks out.

We do work with volunteers who are seeking to complete court-ordered community service. Potential volunteers with court-ordered service must contact the Volunteer Program Manager at volunteers@glfoodbank.org or 517-908-3698 to discuss volunteer opportunities.

Food sorting opportunities are available during the day Monday through Friday, 9 to 11 am and 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Limited Saturday morning shifts and weekday evening shifts may be available depending on food supply.

At this time, all volunteers should be ages 14 years and older.

If you have questions, or do not see an opportunity listed that interests you or works for your schedule, please email volunteers@glfoodbank.org.
