Cristo Rey Community Center (CRCC) has two opportunities for regular, steady volunteers:
1) Kitchen Help - Any interested individual will need to tolerate standing for lengths of time, be able to prep and cook food, serve to go meals from the cafeteria, do dishes, mop, follow food safety guidelines and take direction from the head cook. Commitment is requested first and foremost!
Kitchen starts prep at 7:30/8 am and shuts down for the day to prepare to clean at 1:00. This volunteer position is currently Monday through Friday.
2) Food Pantry Volunteer - This person should be willing to give at least a 3 month commitment and consistent schedule as CRCC has client appointments and they count on volunteers to show in order to serve; otherwise the pantry has to shut-down.
Volunteers will stock, organize, answer phones, perform data entry, schedule appointments, meet with clients, file paperwork, maintain accurate records of clients, etc. Pantry is open Monday through Friday from 8:00a to 3:00p and we can accommodate full day shifts or 3/4 hour shifts.
Both volunteer positions may be required to lift up to 25lbs on occasion.
